SRT Time Shifter

Captions consistently half a second early or late? Don't re-time every cue by hand — paste your SRT, shift all timestamps by a fixed amount, download the fixed file. Runs entirely in your browser; nothing is uploaded.

Tip: measure the offset once (e.g. captions appear 0.5s early → shift forward 500ms) instead of guessing. If drift grows over the video rather than staying constant, a global shift won't fix it — re-check the pacing and regenerate the SRT with fresh timing.

FAQ

Why are my subtitles out of sync?

The most common cause is a constant offset — your recording runs slightly faster or slower than the timing the SRT was built for. Shifting every cue by the same amount fixes it.

Is my SRT file uploaded anywhere?

No. The shifting runs 100% in your browser; your subtitle file never leaves your device.

What if only part of the subtitles drift?

A single global shift only fixes constant offsets. If drift grows over time, your recording pace differs from the estimate — regenerate the SRT with fresh timing instead.
