A Reddit story video is a short narration you edit over footage somewhere else. OfTale covers the part before the edit: paste the story, split it into timed beats, preview the voiceover with your browser's built-in speech, and download the script plus subtitles. It is free and needs no signup. It does not render the video, and the preview audio is not part of the download.
The same studio is what you use for an AITA voiceover script or a nosleep horror voiceover script. If the cut is specifically a TikTok, the Reddit story to TikTok script page walks that edit. Importing the .srt into an editor is covered in the CapCut SRT guide.
This is the studio's built-in r/tifu sample, original demo text titled "TIFU by replying-all to all 12,000 employees with a meme mocking the CEO". Clicking that sample loads these five beats. The blocks below are what Script (.txt) and Subtitles (.srt) download from those beats. They were produced with the studio's own timing: 150 words per minute, each beat at least 1.2 seconds.
=== OFTALE SCRIPT EXPORT === Title: TIFU by replying-all to all 12,000 employees with a meme mocking the CEO Source: r/tifu Beats: 5 | Est. voiceover: ~25s @150wpm Voice preview uses your browser's built-in TTS (audio not included in export). --- BEATS --- [00:00 - 00:05] TIFU by sending a savage clown meme about our CEO to all 12,000 employees. Three seconds later, my laptop started exploding with Slack pings. [00:20 - 00:25] Then came a DM from the CEO: 'HR conference room, right now.'

That .srt file is the default Subtitles download: one cue per beat. The menu can also split cues into 1 word, 2–3 words, or on punctuation, and Subtitles (.vtt) writes the same sentence cues as WebVTT for YouTube and web players. There is no video file. The script and subtitle downloads are plain text.
The sample is not a copied Reddit post. Real posts stay with their authors. Ask before you narrate someone else's story, credit them if they say yes, and skip any story whose author said no.

Open the studioNo. It builds a narration script, plays a voiceover preview with your browser's built-in text-to-speech, and downloads subtitles as .srt or .vtt. You assemble the video in CapCut, Premiere, or another editor. There is no MP4 export.
The script (.txt) and subtitle (.srt and .vtt) files are plain text, so they contain no watermark. OfTale does not export a video, so it also does not offer a watermark-free video download.
A full reddit.com post URL loads the subreddit name and the title only. Reddit blocks fetching the post body, so you paste the story text yourself. A link that is not a post URL is rejected.
No. Play uses your browser's speech synthesis, and the script file states that audio is not included in the export. Record the final voice yourself, or run the script through a separate text-to-speech tool, after the timing sounds right.
No. The five samples in the studio are original demo stories, each labeled with a subreddit so you can try the format. They are not real posts. Real Reddit authors keep the copyright in their own stories.
At 150 words per minute, with each beat at least 1.2 seconds. The speed slider (0.75x to 1.25x) changes only the preview playback. Exported timestamps stay at 150 words per minute. The example on this page is the r/tifu sample in the default sentence subtitle mode.
